A free consultation is when you make an appointment to discuss your situation with Your Online Therapist without paying. The purpose of a free consultation is to provide a potential client with information regarding the services that I provide. It is also a chance for me to gather information from the potential client and to explain if and how I can help them.

For meaningful change to occur, a minimum number of sessions is typically needed. Research shows that generally for acute symptoms six to eight sessions are effective. Many people will reach their goals in around 12 to 20 sessions. And many others benefit from longerterm work over several years. We're flexible to work with you as long as you need and will support you as long as it helps. At the start, it will help to see your therapist weekly.

Online therapy, in most cases, is just as effective as face-to-face therapy, but for people who are experiencing deep and severe mental health issues in person counselling would be more suitable. Online therapy is a very useful method for people who do not have the opportunity for face-to-face therapy due to obstacles such as time and space, and who have a disorder that prevents them from going out. With online therapy, it is possible to do therapy no matter where the client or therapist is in the world.

You will need a stable internet connection, a device with a webcam and microphone, and a private and quiet place to participate in the session. Ensure your internet is up and running before your session to optimise your appointment without wasting time finding a better connection.

Psychotherapy (also called talk therapy) refers to a variety of treatments that aim to help a person identify and change troubling emotions, thoughts, and behaviours. Most psychotherapy takes place one-on-one with a licensed mental health professional or with other patients in a group setting.

Teletherapy, also known as online therapy, e-therapy, e-counselling, or cyber-counselling, involves providing mental health services and support over the internet. Services can be offered through email, text messaging, video conferencing, online chat, messaging, or internet phone.
