Individual Therapy

Introduction to Individual Therapy

A person encounters some difficulties at some points in their life. These difficulties significantly affect the person's quality of life. The problems that a person experiences due to psychological reasons can be resolved through individual therapy.

In individual therapy, the client and the therapist determine the goal together. The therapy process is a process of discovery. The person embarks on a journey to discover themselves. The therapist accompanies the client on this journey.

The goal of individual therapy is to help the individual overcome emotional difficulties, change behaviours and attitudes, organize relationships with spouses, family and other individuals, receive important benefits that shape life, increase self-confidence, increase the capacity to cope with problems, eliminate psychological problems and increase self-awareness.

Individual therapy is a psychotherapy process that the therapist and the client go through together in accordance with confidentiality principles. During this process, the person works on the problems they cannot solve about themselves, the aspects they want to improve, and the life they want to understand and make sense of. The length or shortness of the period varies according to the problem being worked on. Even understanding and hearing oneself is a beginning of the solution.
